Mirror Visions Ensemble commemorates its 25th anniversary with a celebratory concert at The Sheen Center on Monday, January 16 at 8:00 p.m.

The concert includes the world premieres from the four winners of the ensemble’s inaugural Young Composer’s Competition—Margaret Barrett, John Glover, Aaron Grad and Daniel Temkin.

In addition to looking ahead to the next generation of art song composers, MVE also looks back at one of its favorite commissions in the group's 25-year history: Tom Cipullo's song cycle A Visit with Emily. Poignant, witty and often quirky, this beautiful cycle for soprano, tenor and baritone sets Dickinson's poetry and her correspondence with long-time mentor T.W. Higginson.

Sopranos Vira Slywotzky and Justine Aronson are joined by tenor Scott Murphree, baritones Jesse Blumberg and Mischa Bouvier, and pianists Alan Darling and Margaret Kampmeier.
